रायपुर. ओडिशा का टिटलागढ़ शहर अपनी तेज गर्मी के लिए पूरे देश में पहचाना जाता है। इस शहर के इतने गर्म होने का कारण यहां स्थित कुम्हड़ा पहाड़ है। पथरीली चट्टानों वाले इस पहाड़ की ऊंचाई पर तापमान 55 डिग्री तक जाता है। लेकिन इसी पहाड़ के एक हिस्से में एक ऐसा मंदिर है जहां AC जैसी ठंडक रहती है। बाहर जितनी गर्मी, अंदर उतनी ठंड...
- पहाड़ के ऊपर एक खोखले हिस्से में स्थित है शिव मंदिर, जहां भगवान शंकर और पार्वती की मूर्ति है।
- मंदिर के पुजारी पंडित सुमन पाढ़ी बताते हैं कि बाहर जैसे- जैसे धूप बढ़ती है, वैसे-वैसे मंदिर के अंदर ठंड बढ़ती जाती है।
- मान्यता है यहां स्थापित प्रतिमाओं से ठंडी हवा आती है।
- मंदिर का दरवाजा बंद करने पर उस ठंडी हवा से पूरा मंदिर ठंडा हो जाता है। पंडित को कई बार कंबल भी ओढ़ना पड़ जाता है।
- मंदिर के बाहर इतनी गर्मी है कि सिर्फ एक कदम बाहर निकलकर कोई व्यक्ति 5 मिनट खड़ा हो जाए तो वह पसीने से तर हो जाएगा।
- ऐसा क्यों होता है इसका अभी तक पता नहीं चल पाया है, क्षेत्र के लोग इसे दैवीय प्रभाव मानते हैं।

3000 साल पुराना है मंदिर
- मंदिर के पुजारी पं. सुमन पाढ़ी ने बताया कि यह मंदिर करीब 3000 साल पुराना है।
- चट्टान के ऊपर पहले एक छोटी-सी जगह में शिव-पार्वती की प्रतिमाएं थीं।
- तब लोगों को लेटकर भीतर जाना पड़ता था। बाद में चट्टान के नीचे के हिस्से को काटकर गुफानुमा मंदिर बनाया गया।
- इस पहाड़ के ऊपर एक पुरानी बावड़ी भी है जो अब पूरी तरह से सूख चुकी है।
ग्रेनाइट पत्थर का पहाड़
- टिटलागढ़ का कुम्हड़ा पहाड़ ग्रेनाइट का है जो 87 एकड़ क्षेत्र में फैला हुआ है।
- लोगों का कहना है कि ग्रेनाइट पत्थर होने के कारण यह चट्टान बेहद गर्म हो जाता है।
- इसके कारण साल में 10 महीने शहर में तेज गर्मी पड़ती है।
- अप्रैल-मई के महीने में 48-50 डिग्री शहर का सामान्य तापमान रहता है।
- मार्च खत्म होते-होते यहां पारा 40 के पार चला जाता है।
कभी राजधानी हुआ करती थी टिटलागढ़
- स्थानीय लोगों के अनुसार, टिटलागढ़ का असली नाम त्रितिलागढ़ है।
- यह राजा उदयनारायण सिंह देव की राजधानी हुआ करती थी। इसके पास में तीन-चार अलग-अलग गांव हैं।
- जिस जगह पर राजा का महल था उस गांव का नाम उदयपुर पड़ा।
- एक क्षेत्र जहां पर राजा के घोड़े और हाथी रखे जाते थे, उसे घुड़ार गांव का नाम दिया गया।
- यहां पर नजदीक सिंहनी गांव है, जहां राजा के सेनापति और सिपाही रहते थे।
- कुम्हड़े (कद्दू) के आकार का दिखने के कारण पहाड़ को कुम्हड़ा पहाड़ कहा जाता है।

पुलिस वाले ने रिक्शा रोककर मांगी थी रिश्वत
